Educational Concept
In the 21st century, the quantity of available knowledge has increased rapidly.
If the lone emphasis of education was still only the spreading of knowledge, it would never catch up with the development of human society. Therefore, education should lay its emphasis on the flexibility of self-development and the adaptability of the mind to various unknown surroundings.
Teaching is the way education shows itself artistically and it must be carried out in an acceptable way for the receivers. Correct teaching in itself is the process of healing. We want to let every child live in a healthy rhythm and help it to make use of their living energy and gain the necessary nourishment to gradually become a healthy individual.
Children in different stages of development have different tasks and needs. They should be offered the proper education at the proper time, which is the exact teaching principle of Waldorf education. Based on research about children in different stages of development, the classes and the teaching should cooperate with all states of the children's mind and provide them with proper education.Waldorf education is no exception in the sense that it is also subject to the rule that all forms of education face the task of how to teach, what to teach, and how to assess the classes.
Our classes are established on the bases of research about children. We think during the primary school period from 7 to 14 years the children they possess a clear mind and rich, detailed emotions and until puberty they are full of confidence. In order to cooperate with children’s development, we have a lot of classes challenging all of the childrens´ senses, such as: movement, painting, woodcut, handcraft, etc.
For children aged 7 to 14 years, it is through their imagination and images that they can get to know the world - it is hard for them to understand abstract ideas and conceptual language.
All of our teaching material, which is conveyed in beautiful images, should serve as a medium for the children to get to know the world at this stage.
This will ignite their inner motivation to learn and engage them in a close relationship with the world and thus become the foundation of their future development and creativity.
